Join us for an exciting introduction to life at London Met…

At our HeadStart days you will have the opportunity to meet fellow students, discover the social activities we offer, find out about student job opportunities, quiz lecturers and current students about your course and much more. If that’s not enough reasons to come, we’re also throwing in a free lunch, a goody bag and the chance to get your NUS Extra discount card at a reduced price!

At the event, we will be running different sessions designed to help you settle into student life at London Met, academically and personally.

The Centre for the Enhancement of Learning and Teaching (CELT) will be there to provide study tactics and to inform you about the study hub and its many workshops. You’ll even get to create your own introduction videos for other new students, with top tips for starting university.

We want you to stay happy and healthy while you study so we’ll be running fitness checks and talking to you about mental health, university sports teams, our gym facilities and our clubs and societies.

Money can be tight as a student so we'll also giving advice on finances, student discounts, working, volunteering, careers and how to manage your money by creating a budget.

To round off the day you'll have the opportunity to socialise with new and current students.

Although it’s not compulsory to attend this event, it is a great way to get to know London Met before you join and get a HeadStart in becoming a successful student.
